i think you should use the style used in the comic's banner for the entire comic. no black lines, etc. looks very stylish and more professional.

Funny Story... I tried that for the first comic and it didnt turn out that well. Well i liked it but everyone else didnt like it as much as this one so i decided to keep this. Here jusdge for your self...
